Our Story

Hello,

I’m happy you have found my page, and hope you find it helpful!

I am a mom of three boys, who were all prematurely born. Prematurity can significantly impact the sensory system and overall development of a child, and becoming a parent of a child born prematurely opened the door to many many concerns.

Our boys have been impacted by the early start on life in different ways, and we have been through a journey trying to understand and find the best solutions to the difficulties they have had, and to some extent still have, when it comes to sensory processing and developing their motor skills and cognitive abilities.

On this journey I have spent many hours reading books and research articles searching for answers and the best courses of action, taking courses on primitive reflexes and educating myself to become a craniosacral therapist. My mission is to make it a little easier for other parents searching practical tips and insights on neurodevelopment, and to help you support your childʼs journey to a brighter future.

Please keep in mind, that I am not an occupational therapist, and therefore I cannot give you advise on your child’s unique sensory difficulties. The learning space on this page is based on our own experiences as well as general theory and research. As a mom of three boys born early, I understand the challenges families face, and this page provides you with inspiration to start your child’s sensory journey, even if in-person therapy isn’t an option.
